Premium discounts
You may be able to reduce your auto premiums and get additional insurance coverage at no additional cost if:
- you also insure your home through ICPEI
- you insure more than one private passenger vehicle through ICPEI
- you’ve insured with your existing broker for several years
- you qualify as a new driver for the First Chance Discount
- you have 10 or more years of driving experience and are rated as the principal driver
Insurance package options
- Maritime’s Finest - increasing your liability coverage from the mandatory minimum of $200,000 to $2 million
- Good Driver Guarantee – guarantees that your driving record won’t be downgraded due to one at-fault accident
- collision coverage providing protection for losses resulting from a collision with another object or by an upset, such as a rollover
- comprehensive coverage from any event, except a collision with another object or by upset, such as a rollover
- coverage for specific events, such as fire, lightning, theft or attempted theft, windstorm, earthquake, hail, explosion, riot, falling or forced landing of an aircraft or its parts, rising water or damage to your vehicle while being transported on land or water
- cost of extra expenses incurred by you for such things as the rental of a substitute automobile, taxi fares or fares for any other means of public transportation as a result of an insured event
- limited depreciation coverage which means ICPEI will cover the full amount you paid for a new vehicle for up to 30 months
